Is Your Dog Too Stuck On You?

Alone can be really scary, especially if you are a child. Natural reaction when a child is left alone to cry. We've all been through this when we were young, we are always fixed on our parents, especially our mothers. We do not want to be away from them. This is a human instinct from the moment we are born, our mother was the first person we lay our eyes. in fact, we've formed an attachment when we were still in the womb of our mothers.

Left alone can become very emotional and stressful. This can be a difficult experience. But this fear of isolation is simply not only felt by humans. Animals is no exception. Even the dogs, which are considered as human's best friend, suffer the same emotional difficulties.

Dogs are naturally social creatures, they are pack animals. Like babies who develop an attachment to their mothers, dogs, too, developed a very strong bond with their dogs female parents. These dogs just want to be with their territory, where the mother or father can take care of them or provide food through the female dog mammary gland. But once the attachment was dissolved family dog, the dog immediately turned his attention to the owners or their caregivers.

Dogs who become too dependent on their owners did not want to be left alone. When the dogs left behind by their owners, they became very angry. As a "dog of depression" disappointment sets in, they become restless and even damaging condition called Separation Anxiety.

Separation anxiety in dogs is one dog behavior is the most common problems faced by veterinarians and experienced dog breeder. Dog separation anxiety can develop much more quickly if they do not have enough "socialization". This can also happen if the dog repeatedly transferred from one owner to another. Dogs from animal shelters and dogs who experience traumatic events at home as fire, theft during the attempt, or when the alarm system sounds may show signs of anxiety.

A dog suffering from separation anxiety will become extremely anxious and depressed. Some of the signs of distress in your dog can enter the following things:

· Excessive barking and whining when left alone
· Not constantly chewing on various things and destroy things
· Urine, excrement and vomit in a different location in the house.
· Demands too much attention from you when you are at home
· Gets too excited when you come home

Dogs who fail to cope with sudden changes in the environment may also develop separation anxiety. It is often difficult to treat this condition because the behavior only occurs when the owner was not there. Could also jeopardize the owner leaves for a period of time.

Experts say that there are drugs that can reduce anxiety. This is often used in dogs with severe separation anxiety, or when owners simply must leave the dog alone for a period of treatment. The use of drugs allows the dog to spend a long time free from anxiety. A veterinarian should be consulted for further information about the use of a safe and effective drugs suppress anxiety.

This is another way to reduce separation anxiety in your dog:
· Make arrivals and departures very low key
· Give your dog something to do when he's alone
· Plan out
Leave a radio or TV so he can hear the human voice when left alone
· Restrict your dog in a crate that will also serve as a refuge
· Exercise your dog

It is important to take immediate measures once you suspect that your dog has this condition. Visiting a veterinarian and ask about the dog's stress treatment program. Keep in mind that your pet problems can be treated and that they also require attention and appropriate treatment. So, if you notice that your dog was so fixated on you, you might consider taking your "friend" to the vet.

Dogs of War: Psychology In “Metal Gear Solid”

Compared with earlier releases, the new video game has improved in terms of plot and character development. Psychology and personality of the characters - heroes, villains, and the same figure over and over now as important as how to play the game.

However, like in the early days before the comic book Stan Lee's "Spider-Man," a video game characters tend to be flat caricatures of real people, with such lack of social anxiety, fragile mental health, and depression becomes a special feature for the antagonist. However, even in this climate, there are still maverick character designers who have made the difficult hero according to the traditional definition of "hero" role. Among the best examples of these games is Hideo Kojima's "Metal Gear Solid" series.

Being a game that both include psychological warfare and bring a strong pent-pacifist, there is complexity in the cast of characters that is required. To some degree, all characters have some form of mental health disorders, which according to the game which is very dependent on the personality of the characters. While some people may initially see them as an extreme response to their situation, Kojima has been trying hard to present the characters as possible were present when the war meets psychology. Characters from MGS series can be taken to represent the various effects of war on the mental health of a person, whether they are soldiers, commanders, or observer. He demonstrated this through their personalities and their conversations with the protagonist, making them more than to overcome obstacles to complete the game.

Among the longest-standing favorites lot Kojima's antagonist is a woman known only as Sniper Wolf. He may seem perfectly sane at first sight, but few have analyzed the consequences of his personality as a potential growth in a war zone. The experience of living in war-torn Iraq that has left scars that damage the mental health and emotional development. For children who were born and raised in a war zone, the typical response is to find a way out of chaos and destruction. For Sniper Wolf, even after the rescue, with mental health as indicated by experience that the only real way he could cope with prolonged trauma is a part of it. However, probably because some types of anxiety disorders, she also was eager to distance themselves from it. As a soldier, he became part of the very terrorized him as a child. As a sniper, he may be relieved of fear and anxiety as a child to stay away from the front lines, taking the life from behind the scope of his rifle. This theme is one part of what is etched in a repeat of their youth in "Beauty and the Beast" military unit in the upcoming finale of the MGS series, albeit with a more literal interpretation.

Liquid Snake, one of the series' main antagonist, also displays a number of psychological disorders. The initial goal seemed to have little more than "world conquest" standard, but as the plot progresses, it was revealed to be much deeper. As a genetically-changed "twin" to the protagonist, Solid Snake, Liquid showing signs of civil status, causing anxiety. Changed to be the inferior of the two brothers, Liquid encouraged her to perform in every aspect of military life to prove that genetics is not going to lower defines itself. Status anxiety also encourage him to lead an army revolt in an attempt to defeat his father and create a utopia for soldiers. His killer competition with his brother was also encouraged by the status anxiety, because he realized a desire to kill his brother to prove that he is better than both his brother and father. The desire to beat his brothers and his father is a consistent factor in the appearance in the series. He also showed little Messiah complex in his desire to fulfill his father's dream, as he expanded the plan to not only create a haven for soldiers, but also to destroy the government which will be used and remove them.

Status issues also appear a little anxiety in the goals of the Big Boss, Liquid and Solid Snake's "father." A man regarded as "the perfect soldier," his genetic material used to create "children," even as he was one of them modified to be lower than the others. In solidarity, he quickly realized that the time will come when people like him will no longer be required and will be disposed of by the government they served as obsolete junk. Own status anxiety, coupled with frustration at how the U.S. government betrayed mentor to save their reputation, forged the idea of a soldier's utopia in mind. It was during the second attempt to establish a kind of utopia - which he called "Outer Heaven" - that he was killed in battle by Solid Snake, his genetic son. Insisting his refusal to be referred to by the code name "Big Boss" also reflects the status anxiety of the events that led to his many names. He hated the fact that he was awarded that codename because he killed his mentor, "Boss," for the exiled government and left - despite faithful service - just because it is politically convenient to do so. The bitter irony of his name did not escape his attention.

However, perhaps the most interesting psychological cases among the MGS series will be casting my own protagonist, Solid Snake. According to notes scattered throughout the game, Snake show signs of social anxiety at an early age. Trained to be a perfect killer and the most stealth warrior, he was raised to dislike emotional attachment and see the closeness with others as a potential weakness. Social anxiety was reinforced by a second primary mission, where he had to kill her friends and her father to meet its mission objectives. A fight with Gray Fox, his friend, also an instance where he shows the performance anxiety, which is very reluctant to fight a man who was regarded as a friend and fight the winner. His trail status anxiety also play a role in his character, although not in the way most would expect. He views himself not as a hero of the people around him believe he was, but only as "an old killer, hired to do the work wet." He constantly seems to want to prove that he is more than just a soldier he believed himself to be, but it certainly can not get away from the battlefield. Status anxiety His conflict is sometimes played out in subtle, because he no longer wants to be involved in the fighting and just live his life in confinement. However, he understood that he was a soldier and she will always be a soldier, with only one house into a battlefield chaos.

A common feature among the front-line soldier characters from MGS series is their inability to feel grief over the loss. The explanation is that, because they are more and more open to the horrors of war, they began to lose the ability to grieve over the loss of friends and family. This has been described as a side effect of the horrors of war over a soldier's mental health, especially in cases of Big Boss and Solid Snake, who both had to endure the trauma of killing someone that they are emotionally.

Unfortunate Impressions on Bull Dog Terriers

People may wonder why there are such names as "bull dog".

Initially, the United Kingdom and later, Americans are obsessed with bloody fights between the cows and dogs. The main function of the dog is clinging to the bull's neck and worry the poor animal to death. Clearly, this dog has developed great strength in their jaws.

Among the popular choice for sport dogs are pit bulls. Back then, the selection of pit bulls are so varied that many showed various characteristics that make a very interesting exercise. Later in the life of sports though, the focus shifted to the fight between pit bulls and not against the bulls themselves.

These canines rooted most bull terrier dog we know today.

One important bull terrier dogs we have are the American Staffordshire Terrier is very interesting because it has the opposite character was interesting.

They project strength and physical power, but they are not evil. In fact, this dog is very much related to his relationship with his family, especially among children. Physical properties were now only because of their nature and orientation during their bloody fights as fighting machines. But this does not negate the fact that they can sometimes show aggressiveness which may somehow work against them. However, this can be left with a loving nature and devotion to the human family. Thus, he has a stable temperament makes them good pets and excellent supervisor.

AmStaff terrier, as called by the shorter name suffers in reputation though since it is commonly associated with pit bulls. This dog is famous for challnge love and because it is used in illegal dog fighting.

Most of the root problems of the training irresponsible. Unfortunately, there are too few trained AmStaff. And even what is sad is that there are so many pit bulls are constantly ill-treated by sadistic owners.

We are often confused about what is true pit bull. In fact, many argue that these dogs should not be called by that name because it led to an unwanted images bloody dog fights. While the breed is not officially recognized by the American Dog Breeders Association or the American Kennel Club, the legitimate name remains to be the American Pit Bull Terrier.

While it is true that American Pit Bull Terrier is violent in nature, this does not mean that they are made purely for the goods brutal. As we have previously said, this dog is just a product of persecution and exploitive training (and inhumane) for self-serving purposes. If not, the American Pit Bull Terriers can be very people loving.

This is also known as hard workers they are where they excel from. They also like excessive physical activity will deplete their power reserves. Thus, this type is very good for those who need company during athletic training. If you are a couch potato's personality, please find another breed that match your lifestyle.

To remove items, American Pit Bull Terrier are not officially recognized not because of ill reputation but mainly due to the belief that it is not a race. One of the main standard for the dog to be distinguished as a member of the Kennel Club is that it must be race. Until more comprehensive findings on its origin is found, this dog will remain unfortunately tagged as "evil".

Letting Sleeping Dogs Lie

Everyone needs to sleep. This is a fact that can not be contested. Sleep slows the body down, putting every major component from the body into a more relaxed state. It is also recognized as a medical fact. People dream while they were sleeping and, in theory, animals can also experience dream-like scenario. Apart from the fact that most people do not remember them, this can also be medically ascertained. However, apart from all the effects listed above (and side effects), what exactly do for a person to sleep? A little less clearly known, which may be the reason why so many institutions and research programs to study deep into the scientific facts behind sleep.

Natural growth hormone that the body needs to develop is produced in large numbers during sleep. This is often seen as an explanation of why the people who do not sleep too often eventually become a little shorter than their friends. These hormones are produced at their peak during puberty and tends to stop the production after that. People are still not sure why the body produces more during sleep. There are some who theorize that this is just part of the side effects of sleep, sort, on the grounds that the body is too busy coordinating themselves to actually produce growth hormone. However, this assumption is somewhat debatable because the body is still the same coordinate system during sleep hours as during waking.

According to recent studies, sleep may have the effect of age and welfare. People who experience sleep attacks finally experiencing extreme degenerative state of physical health, with prolonged sleep deprivation becomes deadly. It is still not sure exactly why this happens, despite the fact that this could happen is not being debated. Research shows that people who have lost sleep for long periods of time physically withered. According to some findings, the mind is also highly affected, with anxiety and depression into the potential effects of over-extended awake. This is often associated with disruption of normal production and flow of the central nervous system biochemical agents, which set the mood and emotional stability, among others.

The nervous system also suffered from lack of sleep, according to several new findings. People who do not sleep on a regular basis tend to have unstable moods and poor reflexes. In most cases, vigilance and awareness tend to compromise the environment, often to the point that even simple tasks can require more concentration than usual to perform well. Part of the brain that controls motor functions and reflexes are not the only part that suffers, as a region believed to regulate actions for the social situation is also known as compromised. Currently, there is no certainty to only what happens during sleep that causes this, but there are several theories.

There are several theories related to sleep being tested, what kind of dreams serve a biological purpose, but they are considered less of a concern. Some findings even indicate the possibility that the human body's natural state (and, indeed, any animal's body) will sleep, rather than awake. This is somewhat surprising that sleep, something that is integral and essential to maintain human health, very little understood by medical science.

However, where we stand on protein and your dog food? Dogs are natural omnivores. In the wild, dogs would hunt or scavenge. Dog food will consist of both plants and animals. Genome Dog May Shed Light On Human Disease

Scientists have managed to sequence the dog genome, an achievement that could lead to better health for humans and dogs. A team of international researchers have published a detailed analysis in the journal Nature.

"From more than 5,500 mammals living today, dogs are arguably the most extraordinary," said senior author Eric Lander, PhD, director of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He is a professor of biology at MIT and systems biology at Harvard Medical School, as well as a member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.

"The incredible physical and behavioral diversity of dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Danes encoded in their genomes. This unique that can help us understand embryonic development, neurobiology, human disease and the basis of evolution," Dr. Lander notes.

Powerful Tool
"When compared with the human genome and other important organisms, the dog genome provides a powerful tool for identifying genetic factors that contribute to human health and disease," said Francis S. Collins, MD, PhD, director of the National Human Genome Research Institute, which supports research.

"This milestone is especially satisfying because it will directly benefit the animal researchers' efforts to better understand and treat diseases suffered by our faithful friend the dog," said Dr Collins added.

Human pet dog, Canis familiaris, from gray wolves as long as 100,000 years ago. As a result of selective breeding for several centuries, modern dog presents a model of diversity. From the six-pound Chihuahuas to 120-pound Great Danes, from high-energy Jack Russell Terriers to mild-mannered basset dog, and from Shetland sheepdogs with their herd instinct tends to a pointer to the point, humans have bred dogs for desirable physical characteristics and behavior .

Maintenance practices such as the choice of maintaining the characteristics of one generation in the next, but they also affect many dogs genetic disorders, including heart disease, cancer, blindness, cataracts, epilepsy, hip dysplasia and deafness.

Research group found that while the descendants of different shows differences extraordinary physical, they often share large segments of their DNA, perhaps reflecting their common origin recently. As a result, genetic tools being developed at the Broad Institute and NHGRI for any one type of dog that might be useful in genetic experiments in nearly every breed.

Evolutionary Tree
While dogs occupy a special place in the hearts of men, they also sat on the main branch point, relative to humans, the evolutionary tree. It is known that humans share more of their ancestral DNA with dogs more than a mouse. The availability of the dog genome sequence has allowed researchers to describe a common set of genetic elements represent about 5 percent of the human genome are preferentially preserved among human, dog and mouse.

Not evenly, some of these elements are crowded around just a fraction of the genes in the genome. Future studies of this group could give scientists the critical insight needed to unravel how genomes work.
Elaine A. Ostrander, PhD, head of NHGRI Cancer Genetics Branch, is a co-author of the Nature paper, along with postdoctoral research fellows, Heidi G. Parker and Nate B. Sutter. In addition, Dr. Ostrander was the lead author of the white paper that sets forth the reasons for biomedical dog genome sequence.

Dr. Ostrander's laboratory maps genes responsible for susceptibility to cancer, including breast and prostate cancer in canines and humans.
"The main cause of death in dogs are a variety of cancers, and many of them are very similar to human biological cancer." said Dr. Ostrander. "Using the dog genome sequence in combination with the human genome sequence will help researchers to narrow their search for more genetic contributors underlying cancer and other serious diseases."

Genetic Compass
Efforts to create the genetic tools needed for mapping disease genes in dogs have gained momentum over the last 15 years, and have included a partial survey of the poodle genome. More than two years ago, Kerstin Lindblad Toh, PhD, co director of genome sequencing and analysis program at the Broad Institute, and colleagues began the project two parts to assemble a complete map of the dog genome.

First, they obtain high quality DNA sequence covering nearly 99 percent of the genome of the female boxer dog named Tasha. Boxer was chosen as a representative of the average dog to produce what has become a reference sequence for the dog genome community.

Using the sequence information as a genetic "compass," they navigated the genomes of 10 different dog and other dog species concerned, including gray wolves and coyotes.

The researchers identified approximately 2.5 million single nucleotide polymorphisms, or SNPs, sprinkled throughout the dog genome. SNPs are variations in the DNA code, some of which cause disease or the overall health of dogs.

SNPs can also be used to create a set of coordinates with genetic changes to the survey, both inside and on the dog. This effort revealed that the individual has maintained delivery of large amounts of genetic variability, despite their long history of limited breeding.

In practical terms, this means that efforts to seek a future of disease genes in dogs can be much narrower in scope than comparable human studies, which requires a small number of genetic markers and DNA samples collected from blood or cheek from only a few hundred dogs. Read more...
